Southport Photoshoot

I did a photoshoot the other week in Southport which was very exciting/nerve-racking because it was my first photoshoot that I was on my own with no-one to look over my shoulder and save me if I made any mistakes!

The shoot was for a fashion student, Lucinda, who was putting together a look book.. The clothes were stunning, using vintage materials.. The theme of the shoot was vintage (obviously) seaside, hence Southport Pier...
It was a long day but fun and everyone was lovely..
The model was Sophie J Bailey from Next models in London

I just thought I show you some backstage shots...

Sorry they're poor quality, they were taken from my blackberry...

shooting in the hotel

it was starting to get dark...

but we needed the last shot

The makeup was quite simple as we didn't want to take any attention off the clothes. We went for very natural face with just a bit of contour, no blush. the lips were nude, and the eyes were a mix of 'orange' by MAC and a pastel orange I have in the Coastal Scents 88  palette.

We were originally going to do a bright turquoise eye, but Lucinda decided it would be too much so we went for the orange instead.. I think it was the right choice...

As for hair, she wanted marcel waves, which looked amazing, but once we went outside, the wind was too strong so we had to put it up in a messy ponytail, which still worked well with the look.

As soon as I get some proper images I will put them up for you to take a look :)
